Torviscas is located within the Costa Adeje area of Tenerife. It is a popular resort for those seeking a relaxing holiday with comfortable surroundings.

Torviscas is the link between Fanabe and Playa de las Americas. There are many bars, restaurants and shops to try whilst staying here. The main centre of Torviscas is newly pedestrianized making it easy to wander round.

Torviscas is known for its 2 blue flag beaches. One is Torviscas Beach which stretches all the way to Fanabe and the other is Puerto Colon. This is a small sheltered cove close to the marina. At the marina you can take boat trips and diving excursions.

Enjoy the water park as well as the local markets which are held twice a week.

Tenerife South Airport is approx 25 minute transfer time.

Insider I've been won over by Torviscas' charms ...friendly but basic bars and a super stylish scene

There's a marina, so you know that guarantees loads of boats trips

Torviscas, San Eugenio and Fañabe all sort of run into each other and it can be confusing where one ends and another begins. I think of it as the further west you go, the more upmarket the bars, restaurants and hotels become. If San Eugenio represents the less fancy end of the scale and Fañabe the posh neighbour, Torviscas lies in between the two, both geographically, and in who it would appeal to.

There are budget restaurants and Brit bars, but there are also classically elegant Spanish restaurants and chic bars and clubs. One of the best is El Faro, overlooking the little bay and marina at Puerto Colón in the heart of the resort, where the trendies go. At the In and Out beach restaurant with its perfect beachside location, you can watch Soundchaser perform; possibly the best rock band on the island.

I've been won over by Torviscas' charms and I think it's perfect for visitors who like to have the best of both worlds; friendly but basic bars and a super stylish scene. There are also some nice little touches around the resort that give Torviscas its own identity, like the green floating iceberg water park; it looks ridiculous, but it's brilliant fun and will keep the kids occupied while you chill over a glass of white.

The resort also has the coolest sun loungers on the island on Torviscas Playa, but you'll have to part with the equivalent of the cost of a main course at a nearby restaurant to enjoy them.

And the must-sees? There's a marina, so you know that guarantees loads of boats trips, but the real Bond activity to try out here is to slip into a BOB. Before you panic, that's not as disturbing as it might sound. BOB stands for Breathing Observation Bubble and is the way to get to enjoy Tenerife's undersea world without shelling for a PADI course.
